Payroll Officer

About the Role:Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and driven by deadlines? We’re looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent. In this role, you'll be essential in ensuring accurate and timely employee payments while contributing to the efficiency of our payroll operations.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll accurately and timely for all employeesMaintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; Provide required reporting withing requested timeframes Verify timekeeping records and consult employees/supervisors about any discrepancies.Address employee queries regarding payroll mattersCollaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate financial recordsStay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to payroll and ensure complianceExperienceProven work experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role In-depth knowledge of payroll systems, including proficiency in using MYOB, Assignar, Timefiler and Coins payroll softwareExcellent mathematical and analytical skillsCompetent in excel – lookups and Pivots medium to expert level High level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to handle sensitive and confidential informationStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenCertification in Payroll (desired but not mandatory)Experience in the Construction Industry and dealingExperience in the EBA interpretation Experience in the shift/weekend timesheets Experience with weekly, fortnightly and monthly cycles.
